Student Association of Nyenrode Business Universiteit

De Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre (N.C.V.) is the student association of Nyenrode Business Universiteit, formerly called het Nederlands Opleidings Instituut voor het Buitenland (N.O.I.B). The N.O.I.B. was tailored towards preparing young and talented Dutch men for a career abroad, with the ultimate goal of furthering the economy of the Netherlands. This energy and ambition is still very present in the philosphy of Nyenrode Business Universiteit, guiding young and talented people towards a succesful career.

The N.C.V. was founded on the 8th of Februari 1947. A lot has changed at Nyenrode since that moment. In 1972, women were allowed to study on campus for the first time and the study program has changed from BBA, to IDP and to MSc. Currently, studying at Nyenrode consists of three main pillars: the academic part, the campus life and the N.C.V. Despite the changes in the past, the third pillar has always remained a steady course; The Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre has remained strong and faced both challenges and opportunities with pure passion and courage. To this date, the N.C.V. is still the important, valuable and indispensable extension of both the Nyenrode study and campus life.

The N.C.V. is both a study as well as a student association with members currently from the BScBA and MSc program. The N.C.V. provides its participants with the possibility to evolve themselves by participating in one or more of the 40+ committees. Besides the committees, the N.C.V. also has fraternities, sororities and year clubs, which all contribute to life-long friendships.
