Het Collegie der Deeltijdighe Participatie 

Het Collegie der Deeltijdighe Participatie (CDP) is the board of the Parttime MSc students at Nyenrode. The members are called ‘Buitengewoon Participanten’ (Extraordinary Participants) and are a part of the Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre. The board consists of a chairman, vice-chairman and treasurer. They lead and represent the parttime students within the association and the committees of Het CDP. 

Extraordinary Participants follow the parttime master’s degree at Nyenrode. This means they study each Friday night and Saturday morning beside their fulltime jobs, and for some their spouse and kids. These Participants are ‘extraordinary’ in the sense that they don’t live on campus or take part in the committees of the fulltime Participants. However, there is a very special interaction between both worlds. By becoming a member of the Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre, the parttime students can also take part in the vibrant life at Nyenrode. You’ll mostly find us on Friday nights at one of the bars on the estate, connecting both with each other and with the fulltime students. Besides, the parttime students offer a broad network in the corporate world as they are already ahead in their careers. 

The committees of Het CDP contribute to the connection between our own parttime students and alumni by organizing several events during the year. We organize annual events such as Zeilslag and Sneeuwpauze, but also a wine tasting, KasteelDunch and a golf clinic. Throughout the year we organize – for some much needed - theme parties in the Zolderbar on Friday nights after class.

One of the most important objectives of Het CDP is the promotion of the mutual contact between the parttime- and fulltime students. We are working to increase the visibility of Het CDP and enthuse our members to be an active part of campus life when they attend classes on the weekend. The foundation for our joint success lies within the association and the friendships that develop there. We study together, we organize together, we party together, and we are there for each other.

Het CDP board is challenged annually by the incumbent board to present itself. Subsequently, a new board is elected in a democratic way, and according to tradition, during the Sneeuwpauze. Finally, the new board is inaugurated by Het Collegie der Heeren Vijf, so that an immediate bond is created to carry out the plans for the coming year together.

In terms of friendship, business network and personal development, the Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre is a particularly valuable experience, which continues well after the study period at Nyenrode ends.
